As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, NASA International Schools hosted the Educational Environmental Club Team Meeting, an initiative aligned with national efforts to enhance Environmental Education in Saudi Schools. The event was held under the supervision of the Green Schools Committee from the Jeddah Education Department and featured an interactive workshop attended by 15 coordinators from various schools. The meeting focused on innovative approaches to environmental education, sustainable school practices, and strengthening Green Schools Saudi Arabia initiatives.
This initiative reinforces our dedication to cultivating environmental awareness among students and fostering a culture of sustainability within our school community. It supports the broader vision of advancing Sustainability in Saudi Education through collaborative learning and impactful environmental programs.
Role of the Green Schools Committee – Jeddah Education Department
The Green Schools Committee from the Jeddah Education Department plays a key role in promoting sustainability across educational institutions. Their mission centers on guiding schools in adopting eco-friendly practices, integrating environmental education into curricula, and ensuring that schools meet national standards for green initiatives.
Through ongoing supervision, training, and environmental awareness campaigns, the committee encourages schools to implement recycling programs, reduce waste, conserve energy, and engage students in meaningful Environmental Awareness Activities. Their leadership helps unify sustainability efforts across Jeddah’s schools, creating a stronger, more coordinated movement toward environmentally responsible education.
